How to Start a Facebook Fundraiser for #GivingTuesday
Starting a fundraiser on Facebook is a great way for you to get involved at the sanctuary. If you’ve never created one before, here are step-by-step instructions for creating a fundraiser from the app AND your computer browser, along with a few tips on how to make it as successful as possible. 100% of funds raised for #GivingTuesday will go directly to the care of the animals.
From your FB app:
1. Open FB app
2. Click on the search icon (magnifying glass) in the upper right
3. Type “fundraisers” in the search bar
4. Tap on the “Fundraisers” option with a heart icon
5. Tap on “Select nonprofit”
6. Search for “Blue Roan Ranch Sanctuary”
7. Tap on Blue Roan Ranch Sanctuary
8. Update the Fundraiser Title, Description, Goal Amount, and End Date.
9. Tap on Create
10. Share your fundraiser with friends & family. Be sure to include a personalized message/introduction about why this cause is important to you. Posts that include a personalized message result in much higher engagement.
From your computer browser:
1. Go to our Facebook page here
2. Click on the Fundraisers tab
3. Click “Raise Money”
4. Input information
Enter your fundraising goal and end date. We suggest starting as soon as possible. Customize the title and “Why are you raising money?” field or leave as is.
5. Click Create
6. Share your fundraiser with friends & family. Be sure to include a personalized message/introduction about why this cause is important to you. Posts that include a personalized message result in much higher engagement.
