Agua Dulce:
- Vasquez Rocks Natural Area & Nature Center
Vasquez Rocks features 932 acres of spectacular rock formations, and a seasonal stream. The rocks’ history began in prehistoric times when the sandstone rocks were uplifted at a picturesque angle, showing their jagged red features. In 1874 Tiburcio Vasquez, one of California’s most notorious bandits, used these rocks to elude capture by law enforcement. His name has since been associated with this geologic feature. The park is a popular hiking, picnicking, and equestrian area and has been used in many hit movies (Star Trek, Planet of the Apes, The Flintstones, Blazing Saddles, The Muppet Movie, and many others), television shows (Star Trek, Batman, Big Bank Theory, CSI, Friends, NCIS, The Twilight Zone, The Bionic Woman, The Lone Ranger, and many others), and commercials. - Agua Dulce Winery
A 90-acre, family owned and operated winery, vineyard, and event venue with daily wine tasting and tours. - Soledad Canyon Road – Dune tunnel, movie ranch
This scenic road runs from Santa Clarita to Acton, passing through Soledad Canyon. The name comes from the Spanish word for solitude, which can still be had in parts of the canyon. It is a major route for birds and other wildlife. The scenic section begins after the Hwy 14 bridge near Lang Station Road. In 1876, the Southern Pacific railroad line was completed through this canyon and now serves as a commuter line, Metrolink, to the Antelope Valley. The tunnel used in the movie Dune is also along this road as are movie ranches, campgrounds, and the Pacific Crest Trail crossing. - Rio Groceries
