Artemis came to the sanctuary with a sibling that was suffering from perosis – a leg deformity that affects young birds. Sadly the sibling with perosis was not rehabitable. Artemis became a permanent sanctuary resident and has matured from a very tiny poult to a very handsome teenage jake. Artemis is extremely social and loves to supervise all activities around the ranch. He particularly loves to greet visitors and his outgoing and very friendly personality has earned him the title of sanctuary ambassador.
